Richard C. Bowman | Managing Partner

Mr. Bowman brings over 25 years of fund placement and investment management expertise and deep relationships with institutional, strategic, and financial investors around the globe. Mr. Bowman formed and headed the William Blair Funds Placement Group in 2007 which became FPG Partners, LLC in 2009.

Previously, he was co-founder of Capstone Partners, a boutique fund placement firm focused on raising capital for investment firms specializing in private equity and other alternative asset investment strategies. Before Capstone, he was executive vice president of OffRoad Inc., and co-managed OffRoad's Private Capital Group, which encompassed investment banking, institutional placements, and product development.

Before joining Offroad in December 2000, he was co-head of the Private Fund Group at investment banking firm Stephens Inc. At Stephens, Mr. Bowman was responsible for raising capital from institutional investors in the United States and Europe. His association with Stephens was a result of the merger of his activities at Stonebridge Partners, a company he founded in 1990, with Stephens to create a fund placement practice. Before forming Stonebridge Partners, he was president of Shurgard Realty Advisors, a Seattle-based real estate advisory firm. Mr. Bowman began his financial career in 1982 with SEI Funds Evaluation (formerly A.G. Becker). His responsibilities have been directed toward developing investor relationships with a wide range of investment objectives. His understanding of the institutional investment process has enabled him to develop significant relationships with some of the largest institutional investors in the United States and Europe.
